After spending his youth as an environmental activist, Mokai came down from his tree and began writing unforgettable folk songs that find their way into your heart. The East Bay Express called them “…jazzy, jammy, bluesy structures around earthly laments, tales of ordinary folks, and the human struggle in general.” Mokai (rhymes with woke-eye) has taken root in the Northern California music community, as a performer at venues large and small, including festival stages, benefits, protests, intimate listening rooms and house concerts. His third full-length release “The Jaybird Said (2019),” features songs that demonstrate his considerable songwriting skills and guitar chops.

If Steve Earle threw a margarita at Elvis Costello and got pissed enough to write political tunes, they would sound like Pete Kronowitt songs. Following in the footsteps of folk singers advocating to better humanity, Pete has organized, marched and sang his way across this land. Pete writes songs with hooks, a dash of alt-country, a smidgen of something familiar yet new; catchy songs ranging from acoustic alternative pop and country to Indie with progressive lyrical phrasing. Five albums combining performing, touring and activism, Pete’s songs lie at the juncture where culture, humanity and a bit of fun meet for a drink at the local pub. ww.petekronowittmusic.com petekronowitt.bandcamp.com

The Krelkins are a San Francisco music group featuring Mike Marrelli on guitar, Chris Wayan on keys, Nic Griffin on percussion and keys. and, often, Eric Gross on drums. The songs, all written by Chris and Mike, are quirky, thoughtful and humorous. We play mixed genres from folk to rock to blues to classical, and we have a fine time doing it.
