Benjamin Barnes, known professionally as Bencasso, is a multifaceted artist whose career as a singer, songwriter, and recording artist spans several decades and a variety of genres. His artistic journey is one of remarkable resilience, creativity, and a deep commitment to self-expression through music. A former rock star, classical violinist, and accomplished guitarist, Bencasso has navigated the complexities of mental illness, catastrophic injuries, and personal hardships to become a successful musician, artist, educator, and entrepreneur. His songwriting, recording, and performance career showcases a rare ability to blend diverse musical styles with poignant, often introspective lyrics that resonate with a wide audience.

Dr. JoAnn Dahlkoetter, performance psychologist for musicians, and singer/songwriter, plays flute, keyboard, and guitar. She performs her original music in a variety of genres including jazz, rock, folk, blues, Motown - you name it, she plays it. Michael Lynn Bechler has been playing music, writing songs, and performing both solo and with his partner Geri McGilvray for over 30 years. He’s flirted with electric rock, blues and country, but has finally come to realize what he knew all along, that a good song is a good song, no matter what genre it is written for or played in.
Michael’s primary instrument is guitar, but he plays a bit of mandolin as well. He’s been influenced by everything from gritty '60s rock to gospel, with a bit of country and blues thrown in for good measure. Sample his original material at http://mlbechler.com.

The Krelkins are a San Francisco music group featuring Mike Marrelli on guitar, Chris Wayan on keys, Nic Griffin on percussion and keys. and, often, Eric Gross on drums. The songs, all written by Chris and Mike, are quirky, thoughtful and humorous. We play mixed genres from folk to rock to blues to classical, and we have a fine time doing it.

Hazel Brown: I am just beginning to perform, other than to small groups of friends, but since retiring from many years of teaching English to adult students, I'm saying "yes" to singing, songwriting, and picking up where I left off at age 19 to educating myself as a musician. Music has been my companion, my solace, my therapy throughout many life experiences. I grew up in Tennessee, and although I have lived in the SF Bay Area for almost 40 years, I find myself drawn to the roots of that region. I love old classic country music, as well as Mexican music, (there's a story) and of course there is jazz-- well I love music! I play acoustic guitar to accompany myself --someday I hope play some lead. Accordion is also a joy, and I just got a very nice digital keyboard. Cameron's (Half Moon Bay) open mic has been my on-ramp to performing and I am excited to venture into other venues.

Hope Savage is an award-winning Bay Area singer-songwriter and rhythm guitar player with a musical style centered on Americana/Folk, ranging into Bluegrass and Old Time. She grew up in Pacifica and has been a Chit Chat Cafe regular with the trio Savage Bond. She teaches preschool family music classes at Sanchez Art Center in Pacifica and has recently appeared at the California Bluegrass Association's annual Father's Day Festival in Grass Valley, on the rooftop park at Salesforce Tower in SF and at the bandshell in Golden Gate Park. She has played across the country as a soloist and with her various bands including Savage Bond and the Hopeful Romantics on the West Coast, and as Mo' Hope in New England. She has four albums of original music recorded and is working on a new solo album. Hope came in as a runner-up in the Great American Song Contest for her breakup song "Invite The Last Tear".

Through artfully crafted lyrics and heartfully sung melodies, San Francisco singer-songwriter Alie Halla tells the stories that make her feel less alone and hopes hearing them does the same for the listener. Her poetic, playful, and soulful style is inspired by such influences as Joni Mitchell, Brandi Carlile, and Paul Simon. In addition to her solo work, you can find Alie singing with 5-piece Americana band Liberty Street and with eclectic acoustic duo Alie and Me. ...And you can find her at the park with her dog Harold, who gives this glowing-if-biased review: "mom barks real good."
